My Mix
Think of Mad Genius as an infinite mixtape. Add up to seven curated genres to a preset and set how much of each you want. You have five presets — commute, workout, late night, whatever you name them.
Ratings
Rate only strong feelings. 5 means play generously; 1 means rarely; X means never again. Your rating overrides the curator's baseline for that song. Artist ratings light up that artist's Radio Hits unless a track rating says otherwise.
My Requests & Discovery
My Requests injects songs you've rated even if they're not in the active genres — turn the fader up to fold them in; at zero they stay out. Discovery tilts non–Time Machine genres by release age: low favors older music, middle is balanced (no age tilt), high favors newer releases, and zero turns age factoring off. Time Machine eras ignore Discovery on purpose.
Source highlight
Every song shows which slider sourced it — a genre name or My Requests — so the mix stays explainable.
Skips
Skip as much as you want. There is no skip limit on Mad Genius Radio with Spotify Premium.
History
Change your mind anytime. Recently played and Rated Tracks/Artists let you undo or re-rate.
